Ventura Citizens May Win Right To Vote on Hillside Projects |

November, the citizens of Ventura will vote on Measure P. If it passes,
citizens will have the right to vote on all proposals to develop the
hillside area that overlooks the city of Ventura.
The hillside is not covered by Ventura’s current SOAR initiative passed in 1995. The 1995 law was modeled after the Napa County initiative and it, only covers areas zoned agricultural. The Ventura hillsides are not zoned agriculture. Hence the need for Measure P. The SOAR board strongly endorses a yes vote on Measure P.
